A Broken World Rejecting What Will Make It Whole

I sat heart broken for the world. You see, within days, weeks, even months, I had told 4 people about God, people who were either straying from Him, or people who didn't know Him at all, and they all rejected Him, and most, even rejected me as well, and pushed me aside. It was a difficult situation, I hated that people so easily rejected God, even though I knew what He brought, what He delivers, and all He is, and they were missing out on that by choice, it hurt me to see that. After a few days of deleting Instagram because people were aggravating me and after the last person I talked to completely rejected Him I realized not only was I hurting for the world, cared so much, and I just wanted them to accept this help I was offering, I also realized that I felt I had done something wrong, I had failed, or I hadn't done enough, like there was more I could do. God revealed to me several things in this moment:
He revealed to me that I was being selfish, repentance of this was needed
He revealed to me that it was NEVER about me to start with. That from the beginning He was the one speaking, just through me.
I should be HUMBLED that He chose me
That them rejecting Him actually revealed how real He is
And that He knew they would reject Him, yet He still sent me, guided my words to speak to them. Just like He sent Moses to Pharaoh even though He KNEW Pharaohs heart would be hardened. Just like God sent His Son, Jesus, even though He knew the entire world would reject Him.
I want to talk about how people rejecting Him proved His existence even more.
And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:22
We are promised that everyone will hate us because of Him. And since the beginning people hated Him. History often repeats itself. The other thing I find very interesting is, why would people hate Someone who loved them so much He died for them? What's wrong with that? Two things: First, Gods Word is convicting and people don't like to be told they're wrong. And two, people don't like to be controlled by truth, under the authority of truth. People rely on truth and opinions rely on people. That's why we live in a world where opinions are much more valuable than truth, because people like the control they have with their opinions, whereas with truth it's as if they hit a ceiling, they can't go anywhere, they're under the authority of truth. People have no control with truth, but have control and power with opinions. Living in a world where opinion is valued, rather than truth, this leads to people beginning to treat TRUE TRUTH, the Bible as an opinion, leading them to pick and choose what they agree and disagree with, reading it hesitantly, and reading it as though it doesn't apply to them. We need to stop treating the Bible as an opinion and begin treating it as its true value, truth. Here's the great thing about truth, no matter if people reject it, or accept it, the truth doesn't change, it's still true, whether people agree with it or not. Truth is not changed by opinions or people, truth is truth. My heart still hurts that these people are running, but it isn't our job to chase, it's their job to come back. All we can do is speak the Truth that God speaks through us, He does the rest. So really we do nothing, we are just a vessel, a way God can use to reach the world. It is wrong to think that we saved someone or we have the ability to. That is completely and always Gods job. Let God guide you and if you do that, you've done what you can, stop thinking you need to do more, that you need to help them. Trying to help someone who doesn't want it will continue to lead to rejection, frustration, drainage, and selfishness from you. You begin to think that YOU need to help them, if they don't accept what God spoke through you, that's on them, God is going to continue to do His job, you just do yours. He had a reason for sending Moses to Pharaoh and Jesus to the world. Trust who He brings you to, do what He leads you to, and after that know that He is continuing His work, while including even the bad (like people rejecting Him) and He is using it all for something so big and so so beautiful. Rejection is promised. If you're not hated because of Him, you're doing something wrong. In a world where we're told we need to be accepted, rejection because of Him is far more valuable, even though it may be harder.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. Matthew 7:13
I have said these things to you. That in me you MAY have peace, in this world you WILL have tribulation. But take heart; for I have overcome the world. John 16:33
We are promised we will be hated and it's going to be hard as a follower of Him. Do you see the Scriptures are still coming true? And still proving His existence, power, and truth? Let God and let go. Release your cares to Him, at His Feet, He's working on them, using them, and incorporating them into His plan. I could go on and on about this, but maybe I'll continue in another post, for now, this will have to do.
Your great grandmother learned this when she went to recently liberated East Germany to witness to her family, all of whom rejected her words. She walked along a street despairing when God led her past a building with the verse on it reminding her that she but plants the seeds, God brings in the harvest!
