Out of my Hands

Things are constantly out of our control. That truth is something everyone struggles with. We struggle to admit and give into the idea that we are not always in control, in fact most of the time we aren't in control. It's hard to admit that because it's scary, unknown, and difficult to surrender. The other day I was driving, I was listening to the radio and I was sorta listening to the song that was on. Then, the song grabbed my full attention (of course I was still paying attention to driving), but it said "Thank You Lord this is out of my hands... (Out of my hands by Jeremy Camp). I realized how unordinary that was/is. I thought about that statement over and over. Just think about it with me for a moment right now... how uncommon for us to THANK God when things are out of our control. Usually, people complain, become anxious, blame God, etc. But how life changing if we just stopped and THANKED Him for what is out of our hands. I look back already and see things that could have ended terribly if it were in my hands. He sees and shapes every little detail of your life. If things were in my hands, my human hands, they'd be a mess. They'd be destroyed, flawed, and distorted, because I am human. But He sees each detail, each moment, and each life perfectly. I don't like when I can't control things, not because I'm controlling, but because if I don't have any control... I don't know. I don't know what's next, what lies ahead, it's unknown and that's intimidating. It's terrifying. Yet, nothing has ever failed when it's in His hands. When it's in mine? A falling apart, full of failures, mess. Trust Him and thank Him that whatever it is you're worried about is out of your hands, but IN His. It's not like this thing you're worried about is just floating around waiting for someone to take control of it. No, it is seen, secured, and sheltered in the Hands of your Creator. It is taken care of. Rest in that. Breathe, rest, relax, because it is in His Hands, not yours. Thank Him today for that. Thank Him that the weight o carrying this heavy burden is not yours to carry. Thank Him that He comes alongside you, walks with you, bears your weight for you, and encourages you every step of your life. He doesn't tell us to do anything He doesn't do. In Galatians, His Word says to bear one anothers burdens. That is what He does DAILY for you and I. Let it be out of your control and be thankful that it is out of your control.
