Wake Up!

God's power is a foreign characteristic to the world today because we make our problems big and our God small. I'd like to add to that and say that God's power is belittled, because the world prefers to see self as most powerful, and supreme. This doesn't mean God isn't powerful, it just means the world has belittled, ignored, rejected, and forgotten about His power. If you are looking for examples of His power, well there's the entire Bible, but I have been reading the old testament, and I have been just obsessed with this characteristic. Continuously, in even just the first chapter of the Bible, what do we see? He creates the entire world, universe, and well everything. Um...if that's not powerful, please, tell me what is. I think even Christians live in ignorance of His power at times. We live like Jesus isn't going to come back, like everything is just fine and dandy, like Jesus isn't coming to JUDGE the world, that we've done what we can, now its up to everyone else to believe, to choose faith. Too many Christians are hiding their Light from the darkness, instead of causing the darkness to hide from the Light in them. Darkness doesn't drive out light, light drives out darkness. Wake up, Christian! You have a Hope that so many people are longing for, but they don't know where to find it. Stop hiding in fear! The entire world is hiding in fear right now! You're supposed to be different and look different, if you're hiding in fear, do you think people will see Hope in you? Faith in a God that is bigger than any virus, darkness, or evil? No. All they'll see is fear, another person, apart of the world. Live in the world, not of it.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect,
Romans 12:2
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John1:5
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14
for at one time you were in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8
We all know "this little light of mine."
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine Hide it under a bushel? No! I'm going to let it shine Let it shine, all the time, let it shine. Don't let Satan [blow] it out! I'm going to let it shine Don't let Satan [blow] it out! I'm going to let it shine Don't let Satan [blow] it out! I'm going to let it shine Let it shine, all the time, let it shine
Modern Christianity carries the light to the bushel and hides it and themselves with it. They march the candle right to Satans lips and let him blow it out. Then they wonder why... why God do I feel stagnant in my faith? Why have you left me, ignored me, dismissed me? When in reality we are the ones who reject, ignore, and dismiss Him. Modern Christianity rejects and dismisses His power, which dismisses and rejects Him. If God isn't powerful, is He really God? God never changes, "For I the Lord do not change, therefore you sons of Jacob, are not consumed." (Malachi 3:6). Which means, He is the same God as He was in the old testament, the new testament, yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever, meaning His power is the same as well. We have a powerful God and Christians need to wake up to the fact that we still have a mission. Share the Hope, the Hope so many people are dying to know. It isn't a, you're saved, you're done. No we still have a mission, God is using us, and He uses us for our good and His glory, and we are vessels for Him to use for others to see Him, and know Him.
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
2 Timothy 1:8-9
Don't be ashamed of the Gospel. Share it. Don't be afraid of men. (Ecc. 12:13)
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19
We are called to be disciple makers, ambassadors for Christ, stop acting as though your job as a Christian, as a believer, is only to sit in silence, watching people dance their way to eternal death. And why not say anything? Afraid to lose friends? Afraid to lose life? Well, if you're actually a believer, losing life, means gaining it. Afraid of what they may think? A silent faith denies mission, causes a recess of trust, and rejects purpose. A silent faith is a sleeping faith, it only makes others around them, tired, weak, and ready to give up. A loud faith, an alive faith, encourages, empowers, and inspires others.
